Hi, I’m Michele, and I propose an excursion that will take you to discover the ‘Transition Worlds’ of Sauris, a place where nature and history intertwine in a landscape full of wonders. Imagine walking between Sauris di Sotto and Sauris di Sopra, where the forest merges with the meadow, creating a mosaic of different habitats. These are the ‘transition worlds’, places of passage, where nature reveals its ability to adapt and transform. But not only nature changes, human communities have also evolved over time, shaping the landscape and adapting to it. Together, we will explore this territory, trying to understand how plant, animal and human communities have transformed over the last century. We will walk along ancient paths, observing the traces of the past, listening to the stories that the landscape has to tell. We will discover how the forest and the meadow, once closely linked to human activities, have transformed over time, becoming places of biodiversity and beauty. An experience for those who want to connect with nature and history, for those who want to understand how the landscape is an open book, full of hidden meanings.
