Hi, I’m Omar, a mountain guide.
Let yourself be captivated by the silent woods of Mount Olbe, awaiting winter. We’ll walk them, breathe them in, and discover their secrets as we reach the Eimblateribn refuge for a contemplative break in the Sauris valley.
Starting from the Pa Krhaizar hotel, we’ll enjoy views of the village of Lateis, skirting the woods of Mount Olbe. We’ll then ascend the mountain via a hiking trail through clearings of ancient rural buildings and the intimacy of pristine nature.

After reaching the Eimblateribn refuge with its beautiful view, after a contemplative break, we’ll return through the woods on the northern slopes of Mount Olbe, among beech and spruce trees, past the Stavoli Petris huts and the Frumeibn saddle. The lands we pass through, rich in curiosities, will provide inspiration for exploring the geology, flora and fauna, culture, and local traditions.

What to bring:
– Hiking clothing suitable for the season (thermal layer + windbreaker/down jacket)
– Gloves and hat
– Hiking boots or shoes with good soles
– Backpack with water/hot drink, snacks, and a packed lunch
– Trekking poles (recommended)
– Lanterns provided by the organization
– Crampons available upon reservation in case of ice (€3 rental)
