In Sauris di Sopra, at an altitude of over 1,400 metres, the pure mountain air and the quality of the soil allow medicinal and aromatic plants to thrive with a vigour that is hard to find elsewhere. It is here, in the vegetable garden known as gorte in the Sauran dialect of the Pa Mairlan Farm, that the Petris family has been cultivating these plants for generations, alongside vegetables and pulses grown from heirloom seeds, following the principles of organic farming.

The tour is an invitation to slow down and take a closer look at what we often glance at without really seeing: to recognise the plants, discover their properties and the uses that once, throughout the Alps, gave rise to ointments, decoctions and healing remedies. A walk through the rows of the herb garden, amidst the scents and colours of late summer, which concludes with a herbal tea prepared using the herbs gathered during the tour.
An experience suitable for everyone, designed for families, couples and small groups, to rediscover together an ancient tradition that is still very much alive in Sauris.

Children must be accompanied by their parents or a responsible adult.
In the event of extreme bad weather or adverse safety conditions, the guide reserves the right to alter the route, postpone or cancel the activity. Participants will be notified by 8.00 am on the day of the event.

In the event of a no-show or cancellation on the day itself, the cost of the activity will not be refunded.
